With our next webinar on Ocean colour monitoring with Sentinel-3 you will learn:
The live webinar will take place on Wednesday 21 February from 14.30
to 16:00 CET, and will include a Questions & Answers session.
Thank you to the attendees of the face-to-face Training Course on Using Sentinel data for Land Cover Land Use (LCLU) monitoring and Forest Fires applications which took place in Lisbon last week.
The 22 participants, already having a few years' experience in Earth Observation, were selected amongst 180 applicants.
The two-day course included morning lectures on the LCLU theory & mapping and on Forest Fires applications as well as hands-on sessions in the afternoon where participants were given access to the RUS Virtual Machines and could follow the Sentinel data processing practical exercises.
Quotes from our participants:
“Very good lecturers and organization. The contents are very good to initiate work in the areas of the course!”
“Thank you very much for the opportunity to get in contact with all the experts that shared their knowledge with us!”
“I would like to thank you for the organization of this amazing course here in Portugal. I hope you can keep organizing this kind of courses as well as the webinars”

RUS will be participating in the 2nd International Electronic Conference on Remote Sensing, a free-of-charge, online-only event, with:
A demo session on Introduction to RUS environment: Sentinel-1 InSAR for Subsidence monitoring will take place on 10 April at 13.30 as part of the European Geoscience Union General Assembly 2018 (Vienna, 8-13 April 2018).
Focus of the training will be the exploitation of Sentinel-1 (SAR) interferometric data for Land Subsidence monitoring using the ESA SNAP Toolbox.
A RUS Training Course on SAR and optical data fusion with hands-on session using the ESA Toolbox SNAP will be delivered at IGARSS 2018 – International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (Valencia, 23-27 July 2018).
After a theoretical lecture where the Sentinel missions will be introduced, with a focus on image fusion techniques, a hands-on session with data processing exercises about Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 data fusion methods and applications will follow.
