During this webinar, we will employ RUS to learn
how to study earthquakes. We will analyse the earthquake occurred on May 4,
2018 at the Hawaii Island, that was triggered by the eruption of Kilauea
Volcano on May 3, 2018. We will use Sentinel-1 SLC products to derive the
deformation caused and combine it with geological data.
We will show you how to access the RUS Service and how to download, process, analyse and visualize the free data acquired by the Copernicus satellites.
During this 2-day hands-on training session, participants will access a Virtual Machine from their own laptop to exploit the open source toolboxes available in the RUS environment to download and process Sentinel data.
This RUS Copernicus training is organized as a part of the 39th Annual EARSeL Symposium taking place in Salzburg, Austria on 1 - 4 July 2019.
During this hands-on session, we aim to introduce Optical and SAR data feature level fusion for crop monitoring. Multi-sensor approach will be used in combination with a multi-temporal dataset of Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-1 images, to demonstrate the benefits of the joint use of optical and SAR data.
