Published on: 28 Sep 2017

We are happy to announce that the RUS Service has officially opened on Monday 25 September 2017.

RUS (Research and User Support for Sentinel Core Products) is a new expert service for Sentinel users which aims at fostering Copernicus data exploitation by providing:

  • Access to a powerful computing environment based on scalable Virtual Machines
  • A dedicated Helpdesk providing advice in remote sensing data processing and analysis
  • Face-to-face training sessions and online webinars, targeted on the need of specific communities

We are pleased to invite you to our first webinar on RUS environment demo: ship detection with Sentinel-1 data using ESA SNAP S-1 toolbox on 5 October at 15.00 CEST.
You will learn the basics of image processing for ship detection: we will show you how to access the RUS Service and how to download, process, analyse and visualise the free data acquired by the Copernicus satellites constellation.
