Land Applications with Copernicus Data
During this demo session organized as part of the 4th Open Science Meeting 2019 (24 - 26 April 2019, Bern, Switzerland) you will learn how to use the RUS service, using free Virtual Machines with pre-installed open source software and we will demonstrate how to use Copernicus data for Land applications.
Background
Understanding of the land system and monitoring its transformation implies identification of spatial patterns and
evolution over time. The large volumes of free data acquired systematically by the Copernicus satellites (with
continuity of observations ensured for the next decades) offer an invaluable source of information, however technical
and knowledge barriers can prevent their exploitation.
Cost & Participation
Attendance to the training session is free of charge. However, the application is open only to participants registered to the 4th Open Science Meeting 2019.
Audience and selection
Seats will be available on a first-come first-served basis.
